Gaza’s far-southern city of Rafah was rocked by street fighting and Israeli bombardment on Wednesday.
The Hamas-run health ministry on Wednesday said at least 75 people were killed by Israeli forces in the Palestinian territory in 24 hours, bringing the toll to 36,171 during more than seven months of war.
The ministry statement also added that 81,420 people have so far been wounded in the strip since the war began.

 The UNSC was set to meet for a second day of emergency talks in New York after that night's strike sparked a raging fire that Gaza officials said killed 45 people and wounded about 250.
UN chief Antonio Guterres was among the many leaders to voice his revulsion at the deaths and carnage, demanding that "this horror must stop".
