Md Abdus Samad, the Additional Secretary of Health Service Division’s Financial Management and Audit Unit (FMAU) has been appointed as the Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education. He replaced the outgoing DG, Shah Rezwan Hayat.

The Public Administration Ministry issued a gazette notification signed by its Deputy Secretary Abdullah Arif Mohammad on Sunday. The gazette notification was issued as per the President’s order.
Lately, Md Abdus Samad was shouldering the responsibility of Health Service Division’s additional secretary. Previously, he served as the chairman of the Space Research and Remote Sensing Organisation (SPARRSO). After India’s successful launching of a spacecraft to the moon last year, he faced massive criticism as he was leading the SPARRSO being a degree holder in agriculture.
