‘BRI will contribute to achieving Vision 2041’

Speakers at a roundtable discussion said that the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) of China will contribute to development efforts and help achieve Vision 2041 of Bangladesh.
The speakers made the remarks at a roundtable discussion titled “China-Bangladesh Relations and The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)” held at Dhaka University (DU) on Monday.
The Centre for East Asia Foundation (CEAF), Bangladesh organised the discussion at Abdullah Faruque Conference Hall of Faculty of Business Studies on DU campus.

A high-level delegation led by Director of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS), China Prof Dr Wang Jian participated in the event.
Dean of DU’s Faculty of Business Studies Prof Dr Muhammad Abdul Moyeen attended the event as chief guest while former Ambassador and Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of CEAF Mahbub Uz Zaman moderated and chaired the event.
Among others, Prof Dr Rakibul Hoque, Barrister Masudur Rahman, Dr Fahmida Mustafiz, Mazadul Hoque and members of the Chinese delegation also spoke at the meeting.
