Bangladesh Mobile Phone Consumers’ Association (BMPCA) has urged the government to cut the tax on internet and other telecom services to foster the growth of Smart Bangladesh.
“If the government will impose proposed tax on telecom service, the customers will pay 39% in use of Tk 100 which would be highest in South Asia,” BMPCA President Mohiuddin Ahmed said at a meeting after a rally in front of Jatiya Press Club in the capital on Friday.
