Bashundhara Shuvosangho gifted a wheelchair to a physically challenged student, Mugdha Chandra, after seeing the news published in an online newspaper.
Mugdha Chandra Roy, a student in class three, is the son of Shitendra Nath Roy, a day labourer in Shallidhara village of Baravita union of Kurigram's Phulbari upazila. The boy stopped going to school because he could not walk.
He has a keen desire to study. But his parents could not afford to buy a wheel chair for lack of solvency. Bashundhara Shuvosangho came forward to help him after noticing the matter. A wheel chair has been bought for Mugdha with the funding of Bashundhara Group. The members of Bashundhara Shuvosangho bought the wheel chair from the district town and went to Mugdha’s house. Upon getting the wheel chair, he became overjoyed. Expressing happiness, the 13-year-old boy Mughdha said, “I couldn't go to school because I couldn't walk. From now on, I can go to school. Although I wanted to go outside a lot before, I couldn't. From now on, I won't be restricted from moving around. Almighty, bless those who gave me this wheelchair.”

Shitendra Nath Roy, father of Mugdha, said, “My son has been in a state of uncertainty for almost four years. I am exhausted from bearing my son’s medical costs. I was in dire straits as I could not afford to buy a chair. We, the family members, have benefited immensely after getting the chair.”
Bashundhara Shuvosangho Kurigram District Unit Adviser Abdul Khalek Farooq, Phulbari Unit General Secretary Nurnabi Mia, Organising Secretary Ariful Islam, Executive Members Habibur Rahman Habib, Zahid Hasan, Biozid Bostami Bandhan, Palash Islam, Minhajul Islam Murad, and many others were present on the occasion and handed over the wheel chair on behalf of the Bashundhara Group.
