The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has invited the Awami League to observe the overall preparation and campaign for the national elections in India.
In view of this invitation, AL Information and Research Secretary Salim Mahmud has been nominated as the representative of the party to visit India.
The national elections are being held in seven phases in different provinces of India, and the BJP has invited a number of foreign political parties to show their overall preparation and campaign in these elections.
The BJP has invited only AL from Bangladesh.
AL Deputy Secretary Sayem Khan disclosed this, saying that the BJP has been in power in India for a long time, while AL, led by Sheikh Hasina, has won four consecutive national elections and has been consistently leading the government.
During this period, there was a breakthrough development in Bangladesh under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. This development took the whole world by surprise. It is significant that the ruling party of India invited only AL among the political parties of Bangladesh.
Sayem Khan said, “The largest democratic country in the world, India, has confidence in the leadership of the Awami League and Sheikh Hasina and considers the Awami League as one of the most important parties in South Asia and their true friend.”
