Gold price revised for 8th time in April, drops by Tk630 a bhori

Jewellers have revised the tariff of gold for the eighth time in April as the price of the precious yellow metal dropped by Tk630 per bhori on Thursday afternoon.
Per bhori of good quality gold stood at Tk1,13,561 per bhori (11.664 grams) due to a reduction in the price of pure gold on the local market.
The standing committee on pricing and price monitoring of Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) made the decision at a meeting on Thursday, reads a press release.
The price of 22-carat gold will now be Tk9,736 per gram, 21-carat Tk9,294 per gram, 18-carat Tk7,966 per gram, and traditional gold Tk6,413 a gram.
The price of 22-carat silver is Tk180 per gram, Tk172 for 21-carat silver, Tk147 for 18-carat silver, and Tk110 for traditional silver.
