Six people were killed and eight others were injured after a dump truck lost control and plunged into a ditch on the Udaipur border area in Sajek upazila of Rangamati.
The incident occurred around 5:00pm on Wednesday.
Shirin Akhtar, the UNO of Baghaichhari upazila, said that after completing works on the Sajek-Udaipur border road, a dump truck carrying 14 workers lost control on its way back to Khagrachhari and fell into a ditch.
Six workers died at the scene, while eight others were injured.
