Two children drown while fishing in a pond in Paschim Sukhati village of Nageswari upazila in Kurigram on Wednesday.
The deceased was Ahad, 5, son of Muminul Islam and his maternal cousin Afroza, 7.

Locals and police said the duo went for fishing to a nearby pond in the morning and never returned.
Later, their family members found them floating in the pond water while they rushed the duo to the Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctors declared them dead.
Officer-in-Charge of Nageswari Police Station Rup Kumar Sarkar said legal action will be taken in this regard after investigation.
