Bashundhara Shuvosangho spreads joy among street children in Bogura

Bashundhara Shuvosangho, a humanitarian initiative of Bashundhara Group, distributed new dresses among 15 street children ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest festival of the Muslim community, in Santahar Railway Station area of Adamdighi upazila in Bogura on Tuesday.
Members of Shuvosangho handed over the clothes at the railway gate square of Santahar Paur town of the upazila in the afternoon.
Activists of the upazila branch of Shuvosangho took the kids to a cloth market in the station area and bought their clothes according to sizes while the children were amused and thrilled to be able to get their new outfits.
These children normally pass their days battling against extreme poverty and hover around the Santahar Rail Junction area all day long wearing dirty, torn-out dresses amid rain and scorching heat.
Advisor of Shuvosangho and Freedom Fighter Engineer Nazrul Islam, upazila correspondent of Kaler Kantha Tariqul Islam Gentu, President of Executive Committee Aminul Islam Sumon, Senior Vice President Jahangir Alam, General Secretary Hasibul Islam Shakeel, Organising Secretary Shakila Akhtar, Treasurer Firoz Hossain, Office Secretary Ranjan Kumar, Literature Secretary and Cultural Secretary Arafat Rahman Johnny, Health Affairs Secretary Tanveer Hasan Samrat, Sports Secretary Naimul Hasan Ziku, Executive Members Mamun Hossain, Shakeel Hossain, Mostakin, Chaya Akter. Haasan, Tufan, Rishi, Megha and Noor were present here during the cloth distribution event.
The street children who seemed overjoyed to get the new clothes, said, there was no one to ensure their meal. So, it’s like a dream come true for them to have new dresses before Eid. Soon after getting the new clothes, they hurriedly started to put on their clothes with big smiles on their faces.
Aminul Islam Sumon, president of the Adamdighi Committee of Bashundhara Shuvosangho said, “We always try to bring joy to the underprivileged children. This year we distributed new clothes and Iftar among street children. Iftar was also organised by the members of Shuvosangho.”
