‘Swadhinatar Jolchhobi’ depicts the life, sacrifices of freedom fighters

A four-day photography exhibition titled “Swadhinatar Jolchhobi” is underway at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) in the capital. To mark the Independence and National Day 2024, the Independent Photography Club (IPC) the University, unveiled the photo show on their campus on 27 March.
The event is a collaborative effort with the IUB Journalism Club and the Division of Student Activities (DoSA) and focuses on the life stories of the freedom fighters, aiming to share their narratives of struggle and sacrifice with the younger generations, fostering a deeper understanding of the Liberation War.
The exhibition was inaugurated by a host of dignitaries, including freedom fighter and IUB Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman Didar A Husain, ESTCDT Chairman Nilufer Zafarullah, Member of BoT Dr. Husne Ara Ali and IUB Vice Chancellor Tanweer Hasan.
Notably, the event also featured personal engagements with freedom fighters AMG Kabir Vulu, Habibul Alam, Mokhlesur Rahman, Abdul Kader Mondal, and Mohammad Joynal Abedin, who shared their firsthand experiences of the Liberation War with students.
“Swadhinatar Jolchhobi” is being hosted on the ground floor of the IUB Academic Building and will be open till today.
