An official of the Embassy of Spain in Bangladesh died after falling from the roof of a building at Gulshan-2 in the capital.
Police said that he fell from the roof of a building opposite to the Gulshan Pink City Shopping Complex.

The deceased has been identified as Ismail Gil Serrano. Arif Sarker, assistant commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Diplomatic Security Zone, said that the incident took place in the afternoon.
Inspector (Investigation) of Gulshan Police Station Sheikh Shahinur Rahman told the media that he suspected the official might have killed himself by jumping off the building.
He said, “He seemed mentally imbalanced. He might have jumped from the building. His body was taken to Dhaka Medical College Morgue. We can find out the facts after the autopsy.”
