71 seats now vacant in govt medical colleges

A total of 71 seats are now vacant in various quotas in government medical colleges across the country.
Director (Medical Education) of the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) Prof. Dr. Md. Mahiuddin Matubber confirmed this information to the Daily Sun on Thursday.
He said that the maximum number of 59 vacant seats is for general students, three for freedom fighters, and nine for tribal quota.
The first MBBS migration list and the list of those who will fill the vacant seats is now ready, he said.
The entrance test for the government medical colleges under the academic year 2023–24 was held from 18 February to 24 February.
A total of 49,923 students have passed this year. Most of the female students have had the opportunity to secure admission in government medical colleges.
Among the students eligible for admission this year are 3,068 girls and 2,312 boys.
