Astha Life Insurance Company has launched ‘Bangabandhu Shiksha Bima’ policy in line with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s dream to ensure education for all.
Under direction of the army chief, Astha Life will provide insurance to two lakh students of 112 educational institutions controlled by the army with ‘Bangabandhu Shiksha Bima’.
Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed, also chairman of Astha Life, was present as chief guest at the launching ceremony of the policy at Senakunja in Dhaka on Tuesday.
Marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced the policy to prevent students from dropping out of educational institutions.
