Jatiya Party Chairman Raushan Ershad said that a major disaster is on the horizon if the government fails to tackle the economic crisis.
She said this at the extended meeting of the party at the Engineers Institution auditorium in the capital on Saturday. This information was given in a press release by the party.
Raushan Ershad said, “There are many challenges in front of this government. There are ominous signals in the economic field. If the government is unable to deal with it, then a major disaster may befall the country.”
“The prices of essential commodities have already gone beyond the purchasing capacity of common people. The main task of the government will be to take effective steps to keep commodity prices at a tolerable level during the upcoming month of Ramadan,” she added.
Raushan Ershad said to the party’s leaders and workers that Pallibandhu’s ideals are the bedrocks of the Jatiya Party. Those who do not follow his ideals have no right to be a part of the Jatiya Party.
“Pallibandhu’s picture has been removed from this year’s election manifesto. The candidates of the party were not allowed to use Pallibandhu’s picture on their posters in this election. The Awami League President has placed Bangabandhu’s photo on her election poster. However, Pallibandhu’s picture did not get a place in the poster of the former chairman of the Jatiya Party. It has hurt countless party leaders and activists. They lost interest in going to the polling station,” Raushan said.
Stating that the 10th National Conference of the Jatiya Party will be held on 9 March, she said that there could be many conspiracies against this conference. She urged the party leaders and activists to be aware of conspiracies.
