Two people were killed and another injured when a tractor overturned on the Nabinagar-Radhika road at Borohit in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria district on Thursday.
The deceased were Md Enamul, 26, son of Md Shahjahan of Akhaura upazila and Amir Hossain, 14, son of Bazlu Mia of Nabinagar upazila.
The accident occurred in the morning when the sand-laden tractor overturned and fell into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over steering.
The vehicle was heading towards Shibpur when the accident occurred leaving two people dead on the spot and injuring another, said Md Mahbub Alam, officer-in-charge of Nabinagar Police Station.
The injured was taken to a local hospital. On information, police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC said.
