A new book on background story of the song written by eminent lyricist Gazi Mazharul Anwar published in banner on Bhashachitra Publication.
The publication of the book ‘Olpo Kothar Golpo Gaan’ held at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the capital on Tuesday night.
The guests also introduced the book ‘Living with Fire’ written by the lyricist’s wife Zohra Gazi at the event.
Like the previous three volumes, the new book contains lyrics of different songs of Gazi Mazharul Anwar. At the same time, there are timeless and various songwriting contexts and songwriting stories.
Veteran singer Syed Abdul Hadi, Khurshid Alam, Sheikh Sadi Khan, actor and MP Ferdous, cultural personality Latifa Chowdhury, former MP Shafi Ahmed Chowdhury, Gazi Mazharul Anwar’s brother Imrul Anwar Liton, Kaushik Hossain Taposh of Bangla were present as guests at the programme.
Satya Saha’s wife Ramla Saha, Musician Samina Chowdhury, Musician Fahmida Nabi, Shubhra Dev, Monir Khan, Alam Ara Minu, Ankhi Alamgir, Konal, Muhin, Puthul, Momin Biswas, Shafiq Tuhin, Music Director Imon Saha, Shaukat Ali Imon, actor Shahidul Alam Sachchu were also present on the occasion.
Zohra Gazi, wife of Gazi Mazharul Anwar, said at the event that he was a lyricist, composer, storyteller, screenwriter and film producer director. Art-culture is the bearer and bearer of a country’s identity, he has proved it through action.
Gazi Mazharul Anwar’s daughter popular singer Dithi Anwar and son Sarfraz Anwar Upal welcomed the guests present at the event. After the welcome speech by the invited guests, the covers of the two books were unveiled.
