Durdanto Dhaka finished their disastrous maiden Bangladesh Premier League campaign with defeat after they conceded a 10-run loss against Chattogram Challengers at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Saturday.
Chattogram opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim starred with the bat as he struck 70 off 51 balls with six sixes and a four while Tom Bruce made 48 off 35 balls as the host side posed 159-6 in 20 overs after they elected to bat first.

Dhaka’s disastrous campaign ends with defeatDhaka’s pacer duo Shoriful Islam and Taskin Ahmed took two wickets each in the Chattogram innings.
Dhaka, in reply, lost the wickets of Adam Rossington (one) and Sabbir Hossain (0) in the third over after Chattogram skipper Shuvagata Hom removed them in successive deliveries.
Mohammad Naim and Alex Ross then shared a partnership of 51 runs for the third wicket but they took 46 balls to complete these runs which put pressure on the asking run rate.

Chattogram pacer Shohidul Islam finally ended the dogged partnership stand after he removed Naim on 29.
However, Ross continued his good form with the bat as he hit 55 off 44 balls – his fourth fifty in the tournament – but it hardly could deny Dhaka from losing the contest as they made 149-5 in their 20 overs.
Mosaddek Hossain remained not out on 30 off 18 balls.

With this defeat, Dhaka finished the tournament with 11 consecutive defeats – the most by any franchise in the T20 leagues across the world.
However, Chattogram moved to the fourth position in the points table after this win and they now have 12 points from 11 games.
