Swapnadwip Resort, located in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna, gets crowded with visitors from different parts of the district and even from all over the country every day. As soon as you enter the resort, you will see huge cupboards and racks decorated with books. Tables and chairs are arranged around.
Resort guests and visitors come here for a little rest. Everyone will see a well-equipped library with books by famous authors from home and abroad here. This is Bashundhara Shuvosangho Pathagar. The library located at Swapnadwip Resort in the Jayanagar area of Ishwardi upazila in Pabna is spreading knowledge among young people.
A number of visitors come to Bashundhara
Shuvosangho Pathagar every day. It is a social and humanitarian organisation of Bashundhara Group, one of the top industrial organisations in the country, is developing Bashundhara Shuvosangho Pathagar in different parts of the country.
Shammi Akhtar, a student visiting the resort, said, “I like to read books. I never thought that I would come here to visit and find such a beautiful library. I am very happy to have the opportunity to read a book by my favourite author, Imdadul Haq Milan, sir.
A child named Wajah Tawseef Inan is seen reading a book of children’s ghost stories with rapt attention. She said that she liked reading books. Several teenagers named Ira, Sadiqul, and Jinya were seen reading books like Inan.
Managing Director of Swapnadwip Resort Khairul Islam said thanks to Bashundhara Group, as they have set an example by establishing a library inside our resort through Bashundhara Shuvosangho. The library brightened up our resort.
Visitors who stopover here spend time reading books by popular authors in the library. Munem Tajwar Ahin, chief executive officer of Swapnadwip Resort, said Bashundhara Shuvosangho Pathagar is truly an exceptional initiative. It has enhanced the status of our resort.

It is to be mentioned that the Bashundhara
Shuvosangho Pathagar was inaugurated at Swapnadwip Resort on 27 September last year. Director of East West Media Group Ltd, Editor-in-Chief of Kaler Kantho, and celebrated author Imdadul Haq Milan inaugurated the library.
The then Member of Parliament for Pabna-4 Constituency, freedom fighter Nuruzzaman Biswas, was present at the opening ceremony.
Apart from Swapnadwip Resort in Pabna, two more libraries are spreading knowledge in the Edward College Gate area in Sadar and Puran Masumdia, a remote village in Bera upazila. In addition, there are 10 Bashundhara Shuvosangho Pathagars in several other areas of the country. These libraries, rich in books, are spreading light among the young students.
