Finally, the popular actor of 90s’ Shabnur, has returned to acting. She will stand before the camera through the Arafat Hossain-directed movie “Rangana” soon. The Mahurat programme of the film was also held at Dhaka Club in the capital on Saturday evening.

“Rangana” is being produced under the banner of MS Films. Production house MS Films also announced another film “Ekhono Bhalobashi” starring Shabnur.

Talking about her returning to acting after a long break, Shabnur said, “I have come to the country only for the shooting of the movie ‘Rangana’. The story and songs of the movie are to my liking. I will be seen in a different genre in the film. I can’t tell the details about the story of the film. But, it is a contemporary story. The types of audience have been changed. Ten years ago we had one type of cinema audience, now it is another type of audience. Taking everything into account, the story of the film has been made. The director is working hard for the movie. It won’t take long to get in front of the camera. I will complete the work soon.”

“Many people asked me - what will you do after so long? There have been many controversies surrounding the movie. At the beginning, I told Arafat, if you work, you will get money. If you want to do something good, there will be setbacks. We have to continue with this. You have to prove yourself by doing the work carefully”, Shabnur added.
Shabnur doesn’t want to stop with two movies. She said, “I will not stop here. I will work continuously. Will try to do more after one. There is no such thing as a comeback. Artistes never die. Artistes live their lives through their work. So I don’t want to call my return to acting is a comeback.”

With the film “Rangana” Arafat will make his Dhallywood debut as a director. After “Rangana”, the shooting of the movie “Ekhono Bhalobasi” will start, said the director.
The story of the movie “Rangana” is written by the director Arafat Hossain himself. Tanmoy Muktadir has written the Screenplay and dialogues of the project. The shooting of the movie will start soon. The movie will be released in theaters during any of the two Eid festivals.
