Indian PM, Bhutanese King congratulate PM Hasina

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his heartiest congratulations to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the victory of the Awami League under her leadership in the 12th parliamentary election.
In a congratulatory letter sent on Monday, Modi expressed confidence that as Prime Minister Hasina prepares to lead her country for a fourth consecutive term, the historic and close ties between India and Bangladesh will continue to deepen in all areas of their irreversible partnership.

He affirmed that as a close friend and trusted development partner of Bangladesh, India will continue to support Bangladesh’s aspirations and growth.
In the letter, Prime Minister Modi also conveyed his best wishes to the people of Bangladesh for their continued progress, peace and prosperity.

Meanwhile, Fourth King of Bhutan Jigme Singye Wangchuck on Monday congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her party’s landslide victory in the 12th parliamentary election.
He sent a letter of congratulations to the prime minister mentioning that Bangladesh has enjoyed peace, stability and unprecedented economic development under her dynamic and strong leadership and Bhutan, as a close friend, rejoices with the people of Bangladesh on this occasion.

In the congratulatory letter, the King of Bhutan also expressed his confidence that the close and special relations between the two countries will further be strengthened.
The King of Bhutan Jigme Singye Wangchuck sent the letter of congratulation through Ambassador of Bangladesh in Bhutan Shib Nath Roy.
