Ashraful Alam said, “I am a candidate. Event I could not cast my vote this morning as boat supporters restricted me and my wife from going to the polling centre.”
“Moreover, I was assaulted by them on 19 December and so far, 150 activists who were supporting men have been injured. In the current situation, I can’t risk the lives of my supporters any further. I don't want such votes.”
Although the irregularities were reported, but no action was taken by the magistrates or EC and they are playing a silent role, he stated.
