Bangladesh Buddhist Federation (BBF) has condemned the incident of setting fire to the Usaichen Buddhist Monastery in Cheranghata area of Ramu Sadar upazila on Friday. They demanded immediate arrest of the communal perpetrators involved in the incident.
“Fundamentalist groups of the country with the nefarious purpose of creating fear among the minority Buddhist community conducted this attack. We express deep concern and condemn this incident,” reads a press release signed by BBF General Secretary Vikkhu Sundapriyo on Saturday.
