The government offices will resume today after the vacation of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest religious festivals of Muslims, reports BSS.
This year, the government officials and employees got five-day holiday at a stretch. The government extended Eid-ul-Azha holidays by a day as it declared June 27 a holiday through an executive order.
With the holiday of June 27, the government officials-employees enjoyed five-day holiday for Eid-ul-Azha as pre-scheduled holidays were on June 28-30 and July 1 is a Saturday, a weekly holiday.
The Muslim community celebrated the Eid-ul-Azha with festivity, fanfare and religious fervor. Dhaka streets took deserted look as people went to villages to celebrate the festival.
