An exclusive group painting show titled ‘19th Anniversary Exhibition’ began at Galleri Kaya on Friday. The gallery has organised the exhibition to celebrate the 19th anniversary of the gallery.
Prof Wahiduddin Mahmud, an economist, former finance and planning adviser of a caretaker government inaugurated the show on the premises of the galley in the capital’s Uttara are on the day.
Works of 50 modern and contemporary artists, including Abdus Shakoor Shah, Abul Barq Alvi, Qayyum Chowdhury, Rafiqun Nabi, Shahabuddin Ahmed, Ahmed Shamsuddoha, Samarjit Roy Choudhury, Shishir Bhattacharjee, Syed Abdullah Khalid, Chandra Bhattacharjee, Chandra Shekhar Dey, Debdas Chakraborty, Farida Zaman, Ganesh Haloi, Goutam Chakraborty, Hamiduzzaman Khan, Hashem Khan, Jamal Ahmed, Jogen Chowdhury, Kamaluddin, Kamruzzaman Sagar and Kanak Chanpa Chakma are being showcased at the 16-day exhibition.
The show will remain open every day from 11:30am to 8:00pm till June 17.
