Dhaka’s renowned theatre troupe Mad Theatre will stage their two popular productions ‘Rabindranather Dwitiya Bijaya’ and ‘Anne Frank’ in Guwahati, India today. The dramas will be staged consecutively at the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra Auditorium.
The play ‘Rabindranather Dwitiya Bijaya’, based on Rabindranath Tagore and Argentinian author Victoria Ocampo’s relationship during the ailing poet’s stay in Buenos Aires in the 1920s.
The head of Mad Theater Asadul Islam has written both plays. He said, “The plays ‘Rabindranather Dwitiya Bijaya’ and ‘Anne Frank’ are inevitably relevant in the present time. Mad Theatre’s production is sure to win the hearts of Guwahati audiences.”
Earlier, Mad Theater visited Guwahati twice with the play ‘Natyia Natim’. This is the troupe’s third visit to Guwahati.
