Dhaka’s renowned theatre troupe Mad Theatre will stage their two popular productions ‘Rabindranather Dwitiya Bijaya’ and ‘Anne Frank’ in Guwahati, India today. The dramas will be staged consecutively at the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra Auditorium.

The play ‘Rabindranather Dwitiya Bijaya’, based on Rabindranath Tagore and Argentinian author Victoria Ocampo’s relationship during the ailing poet’s stay in Buenos Aires in the 1920s.

On the other hand, based on the book ‘The Diary of a Young Girl’, the play ‘Anne Frank’ depicts Anne Frank’s days in the Secret Annex during the Second World War. In the diary, she vividly wrote down her mental anguish, dreams, horrors of the war and more.
