TV director Mohan Khan passes away

Noted writer and small screen director Mohan Khan passed away on Tuesday. He breathed his last at a hospital in the capital in the night. He was 65. 

He was laid to rest at Azimpur graveyard in the capital on Wednesday. He is survived by his wife and two children. 

Mohan Khan had been under treatment for more than a month in a private hospital in Dhaka. He was diagnosed with a brain tumour and underwent a major operation. After returning home he felt ill again. When his health condition deteriorated, Mohan Khan was put on life support on May 4.

The noted director was born in Narsingdi district. Over his three decades career, he directed over 500 tele-fictions. He also wrote plays. His first directorial drama ‘Amar Dudhma’ was aired on BTV.

Mohan Khan’s notable TV dramas are ‘Samudre Gangchil’, ‘Sei Amra’, ‘Nirer Khoje Gangchil’, ‘Jege Utho Samudra’, ‘Meghbalika’, ‘Durer Manush’, ‘Angurlata’ and others.
