1st hajj flight from Ctg departs

CHATTOGRAM: The first flight carrying hajj pilgrims from Chattogram left Shah Amanat International Airport in the port city on Tuesday early hours.

The flight of national flag-carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines carried 419 pilgrims for Madina in Saudi Arabia in the first trip at 4:00am.

A total of 22 dedicated flights of the Biman will carry some 10,000 pilgrims from Chattogram for Madina and Jeddah in this Hajj season.

Biman Chattogram Manager Sajal Barua said that all necessary steps have been taken to send Hajj pilgrims from Chattogram properly.
