Bangladesh were drawn in Group B alongside Australia, Vietnam and Philippines in the upcoming AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup 2024 qualifiers, scheduled on September 16-24.
Meanwhile, Group A comprised South Korea, Thailand, Iran and India as the draw event took place at AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.
The two group winners and runners-up will join Japan, North Korea, China and hosts Indonesia in the ninth edition of the tournament next year.
Each group will be played in a single round-robin league format at a centralised venue.
The Bangladeshi girls earlier reached the final round of the qualifiers after they beat Turkmenistan by 6-0 goals and Singapore by 3-0 goals in their first round group matches held in Singapore in April.
