Experts at a programme have emphasised the importance of modernisation of madrasah education in Bangladesh for global demand of workforces.
They were addressing a closing ceremony of a seminar of Islamic world educational, scientific and cultural organizations (ICESCO) at BNCU conference hall of BANBEIS Bhaban in the capital on Thursday.
Secondary and Higher Education Division secretary Suleman Khan was present in the programme as the chief guest while Directorate of Madrasah Education Director General Habibur Rahman attended the event as the special guest.
Some 100 teachers from the leading madrasah in the capital took part in the three-day workshop supported by Bangladesh National Commission for UNESCO.
BNCU deputy secretary general Shohel Imam Khan chaired the session while Dhaka University Prof Tariq Ahsan of Institute of Education Research presented the keynote paper at the session.
