Lutfunnesa alias Shova, the youngest daughter of Bengali author Dr Mohammad Lutfur Rahman, died of old age complications on Thursday. She was 87.
She breathed her last at her younger daughter Kamar Jahan’s house at Joynagar Govt Officers’ Apartment Complex in Dhaka at around 11:00am.
Lutfunnesa was the youngest of three daughters and two sons of Dr Mohammad Lutfur Rahman.
She was maternal grandmother of Daily Sun’s Sub-Editor Anonna Reza and grandmother-in-law of the newspaper’s Special Correspondent-cum-Online In-Charge Firoz Al Mamun.
Lutfunnesa left behind her two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death.
She was laid to eternal rest at her parental graveyard at Hazipur in Magura Sadar.
