Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusingha arrived in Dhaka on Monday while the rest of the members of the coaching panel will land here today ahead of the three-day camp of the national team which will be followed by their upcoming tour of England.
The newly-appointed assistant coach Nic Pothas, batting coach Jamie Siddons, pace bowling coach Allan Donald and spin coach Rangana Herath will reach Dhaka today, confirmed BCB’s Cricket Operation Manager Shahriar Nafees.
Bangladesh are expected to leave for England on May 2 to play a three-match ODI series against Ireland.
Liton Das and Mustafizur Rahman, who are currently taking part in the ongoing Indian Premier League, will join the squad in England.
Meanwhile, Ireland on April 21 named a 14-member squad for the ODI series against Bangladesh, which will also be part of the ICC World Cup Super League.
Regular skipper Andrew Balbirnie will lead the side in the series while pacer Josh Little, who missed the recent tour of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, has also returned to the side.
The matches will be played in Chelmsford on May 9, 12 and 14 respectively. Before the series, Bangladesh will play a warm-up game against Ireland Wolves on May 5.
