Safe bike-riding campaign launched
Road Transport and Highways Division Secretary ABM Amin Ullah Nuri inaugurates the ‘safe riding’ campaign at Babubazar point in the capital on Thursday. BMAMA has conducted the ‘safe riding’ campaign for bikers.

Bangladesh Motorcycle Assemblers and Manufacturers Association (BMAMA) conducted a safe riding campaign for bikers as Eid-ul-Fitr travels began.
The trade body launched the awareness programme titled “Follow traffic rules, return home safely” at four exit points -  Gabtoli, Abdullahpur, Babubazar and Kutubkhali in Dhaka on Thursday.
Road Transport and Highways Division secretary ABM Amin Ullah Nuri inaugurated the campaign at Babubazar point attending the programme as chief guest.
The campaigners distributed awareness-raising leaflets, stickers and key rings among the bikers. Addressing the programme, Amin Ullah Nuri appreciated the BMAMA campaign and hoped it would inspire bikers to maintain safe riding during the Eid holidays.
He urged the BMAMA leaders to continue such activities in future so the motorcycle riders become conscious about their safety.
Uttara Motors chairman Matiur Rahman, Honda chief financial officer Shah Muhammad Ashequr Rahman, TVS chief executive officer Biplob Kumar Roy, ACI Motors Yamaha director Zakir Hossain and Honda Bangladesh head of corporate affairs Ismail Bhuiyan were also present on the occasion.
Four motorcycle brands – Bajaj, Honda, Yamaha and TVS extended their support to the BMAMA campaign.
