RANGPUR: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a presumed fraudster on charges of realising Taka six lakh from a jobseeker promising job from his house in Uttar Khalpara village of Sadar upazila in Panchagarh district on Friday.
The arrested was identified as Jyotish Chandra Roy, 38, son of Dwijendranath Roy of Uttar Khalpara village.
During the preliminary interrogation, the detainee admitted that he had been cheating people of Panchagarh, Dinajpur and other districts promising government jobs by realising huge money from them for a long time.
“The arrested person was handed over to Dinajpur Kotwali Police Station for taking further legal actions against him,” the release added.
