Bangladesh Football Federation has instructed head coach Golam Rabbani Choton not to speak to the media regarding the national team’s withdrawal in the upcoming Asian Qualifiers round one of the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Paris 2024.
“I’m not permitted to speak to the media regarding this issue (withdrawal) or camp,” Choton replied while The Daily Sun reporter on Thursday asked him whether BFF’s decision made an impact on the players.
Bangladesh women’s national football team last played SAFF Women’s Championship in September; they have international assignments this year except for the Olympic qualifiers.
BFF EC Member and Women’s Wing Chairman Mahfuza Akhter Kiron said that they would try to arrange friendlies for the team to keep them on the field.
“They will have no competition this year. So, we will try to arrange friendly matches to keep them on the field,” she concluded.
