A fire broke out at a scrap material shop at Vatara in the capital on Thursday afternoon.
On information, firefighters rushed to the spot and doused the flames.
Rashed-bin-Khaled, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) control room, told the Daily Sun that the fire broke out at the tin-shed shop around 3:00pm.
Two units of the firefighters were dispatched to the spot and they brought the fire under control at 4:45pm.
The reason behind t he fire could not be known immediately, he said.
