Bangladesh will be keen to wrap up the three-match T20I series against Ireland as they take on the visitors in the second game at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram today.

The match is scheduled to start at 02:00pm (BST) and will be telecast live on T Sports and GTV.

The Tigers are currently leading the series by a 1-0 margin after they registered a 22-run in the D/L method during the series opener at the same venue on Monday.

Bangladesh showcased a brilliant performance both with the bat and ball as they scored 207-5 after being sent into bat first before they defended the revised target of 104 runs quite easily at the end.

The Tigers earlier won the preceding three-match ODI series against the same opposition by a 2-0 margin while before coming into the series, they also beat world champions England by a 3-0 margin in a three-match T20I series.

With the kind of aggressive brand of cricket that the Tigers are showcasing right now, it will be a difficult task for the tourists to put up some fight against the confident Bangladesh side.

Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed, who finished with a career-best 4-16 in the opening game, said that the teammates and the team management are helping the team to be a more aggressive one.

“Fear of failure holds you back. We want to play free cricket. Everyone is supporting each other, starting from the very top of the team management. They tell us not to hesitate when executing our skills,” said Taskin.

“They want us to play our game freely, bring our A-game and play aggressive cricket,” he said, adding that they are going from strength to strength with each passing day.

Meanwhile, a team official expressed his optimism of getting the service of in-form opener Rony Talukdar, who scored a blistering half-century in the opening T20I against Ireland, in the second match although he sustained a shoulder injury while fielding in the opening game.
