Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun has said that police arrested 53 leaders and activists of BNP from Banani in the capital abiding by the existing laws.
The arrestees were also indicted in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act as per the rules, he added.
