Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) held a views-exchange meeting in Narsingdi on Monday to learn about the opportunities and challenges of the local gold traders.
Speakers at the event praised the leadership of BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan, and said he is working to introduce the country’s gold ornaments to the world.
Under the guidance of BAJUS president, the process of uniting the jewellers association across the country is ongoing, they said, adding that the meeting was part of that process.
BAJUS Standing Committee on Law and Membership vice chairmen Masudur Rahman, Md Ripnul Hasan and Pabitra Chandra Ghosh attended the meeting as special guests.
The speakers said they were happy to organise such an event for the first time in Narsingdi with the jewellers.
About a hundred jewellers from six upazilas of the district participated in the meeting.
