Bangladesh takes part in ‘Hong Kong Flower Show’

The Consulate General of Bangladesh in Hong Kong has taken part in the 'Hong Kong Flower Show 2023' for the first time.

The 10-day event started from March 10 with the theme of 'Bliss in Bloom, featuring Hydrangea,' according to a message received in Dhaka on Sunday, reports BSS.

Organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department to promote horticulture in Hong Kong, the annual event sees floral lovers from all over town converge to Victoria Park to admire all kinds of flowers in full bloom.

President of the Hong Kong Legislative Council Andrew Leang Kin-Yuen inaugurated the show as the chief guest while Consul General of Bangladesh in Hong Kong Israt Ara took part at the inauguration session.

Two Bangladeshis participated in the show at the initiative of Bangladesh Consulate General.

Various exotic flowers, potted plants, floral arrangements and landscapes by organisations from Hong Kong, the Mainland, and overseas are being displayed, along with stalls selling flowers and other horticultural products.

Other fun activities include a drawing competition, photo contest, music and cultural performances, floral art demonstrations, workshops, family-friendly games and more.
