A wrong England flag on the first ODI match tickets created uproar in social media a day before the start of the three-match ODI series between Bangladesh and England.

The tickets had the United Kingdom flag printed in place of England flag and it couldn’t go unnoticed by the fans after they bought the tickets from the counters.

England flag, a white field with a centred red cross, is commonly used when they play cricket and other sports as several other countries of the United Kingdom such as Ireland and Scotland also play cricket and other sports with their respective country’s flag.

The United Kingdom flag is used when countries like England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland take part in global sporting events like in the Olympic Games.

Meanwhile, Modhumoti Bank Limited will be the title sponsor of the upcoming white-ball cricket series between Bangladesh and England, starting in Mirpur today.

The series will be powered by Mr. White while UCSI University will be the co-sponsor of the series.

These details of the title sponsorship were disclosed during a press conference held at the Media Centre of the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Tuesday.
