The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will hold foot marches in every district throughout the country, including in Dhaka, today to press home their 10-point demand including resignation of the Awami League government and to protest against the price hike of gas, electricity and essential commodities.
BNP central leaders including the party’s former lawmakers have been asked to attend the programme in their respective districts to make it successful.
In Dhaka district, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will attend the event.
BNP Standing Committee Members Amir Khashru Mahmud Chowdhury will attend the march in Manikganj, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy in Gazipur and Abdul Moyeen Khan in Narayanganj, Nazrul Islam Khan in Mymensingh (South), Vice-Chairman Ahmed Khan in Tangail,
Barkatullah Bulu in Cumilla (South), Abdul Awal Mintoo in Jamalpur, Abdullah Al Noman in Chattogram (North), Shamsuzzaman Dudu in Bandarban, Mohammad Shahjahan in Noakhali, Mir Nasiruddin in Khagrachhari, Altaf Hossain Chowdhury in Barguna, AZM Zahid Hossain in Dinajpur and Nitai Roy Chowdhury in Magura.
Other central leaders will attend the programmes in their respective districts.
Besides, likeminded parties and organisations will also stage the protest around the country to press the demand.
