Bangladesh Boys U-14 Tennis Team comprising Jawad Bhuyan and Tanvir Moon Tushar beat Pacific Oceania by 2-1 matches in singles and doubles events on the second of International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Junior (U-14 boys and girls) Championships, organised by Sri Lanka Tennis Association in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Tuesday.

Bangladesh boys earlier beat Lebanon by 2-1 matches in singles and doubles events on the opening day. They will take on Kyrgyzstan in their last match of Group C today.

Bangladesh Girls U-14 Tennis Team comprising Sumaiya Akhter and Humaira Haider Zara tasted their second defeat to Malaysia by 0-3 matches on this day. The girls earlier conceded a 0-3 match defeat to Singapore in singles and doubles events. They will play their last match of Group A against Pacific Oceania today.

Earlier, a 14-member Bangladesh Junior Tennis Team reached Sri Lanka on Saturday to compete in ITF World Junior (U-14 boys and girls) Championships on February 11-19, Junior Davis Cup (U-16 boys) and Billie Jean King (U-16 girls) both on February 18-26.
