CHATTOGRAM: A Chattogram court on Sunday awarded lifetime imprisonment to a Rohingya woman in a drug case filed in 2018.

Chattogram Fourth Additional Metropolitan Session Judge Shariful Alam Bhuiyanalso awarded financial penalty of Tk 10,000and one more year’s imprisonment, in default, to the accused, said the court Additional Public Prosecutor (PP) Abu Jafar.

According to deposition of the case, officials of Narcotics Control Department (DNC) arrested Nur Taz and a child with 10,000 pieces of Yaba pill from the city's Bakolia area on December 28 in 2018.
