The hosts Bangladesh National U-20 Women’s Football Team brightened their chances for the final after a goalless draw with India National U-20 Women’s Football Team in their exciting second match of the ongoing SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship 2023 at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Sepoy Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur on Sunday.

Both sides created several close chances throughout the match but failed to break the deadlock.

Both Bangladesh and India earned four points from one win and one goal each. Bangladesh beat Nepal by 3-1 goals while India crushed Bhutan by 12-0 goals in their respective first matches on Friday.

Bangladesh will just need a draw to secure the spot for the final against Bhutan in their last group match on February 7 at the same venue.

Earlier this day, Nepal tasted their first win after beating Bhutan by 4-0 goals at the same venue.

Amisha Karki scored a hat-trick scoring three goals in the 19th, 45+2nd and 63rd minutes while Preeti Rai added one in the 61st minute.

Nepal earned three points from one win and one draw while Bhutan are yet to open their account. Nepal will face India in their last match on February 7. If Nepal beat India, they will move to the final. But if India beat Nepal or play a draw, India will reach the final and Nepal will be eliminated.
