After a winning start, the hosts Bangladesh National U-20 Women’s Football Team are expecting to continue their streak against India National U-20 Women’s Football Team in their second match of the ongoing SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship 2022.

The high-voltage match will be held today at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Sepoy Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur at 07:00pm (BST).

Nepal and Bhutan will lock their horns earlier on this day at the same venue at 03:00pm.

Bangladesh clinched a 3-1 goal win over Nepal in their first match Friday night. But the home side got a big blow ahead of the India match as their captain cum midfielder Shamsunnahar Jr got a head injury against Nepal.

The experienced midfielder was seen along with the team during a recovery session on Saturday in Kamalapur. Bangladesh head coach Golam Rabbani Choton believes that Shamsunnahar was likely to play in the playing eleven.

“She is good and fit and was present with the team in the recovery session. We can expect her in the playing squad against India,” Choton told The Daily Sun on Saturday.

Meanwhile, India also made a winning start after crushing Bhutan by 12-0 goals in the opening match of the tournament on Friday at the same venue.
