Donald’s contact extended till World Cup

The Bangladesh Cricket Board extended the contract of pace bowling coach Allan Donald till the upcoming ICC World Cup, scheduled to be held in India in October-November this year.
The former South African pacer was earlier appointed as pace bowling coach of the Tigers in March last year and the contract was till ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. Later, they extended his contract till the home series against India.
It was learnt that Donald is currently waiting to get the work permit visa.
A BCB official said that foreign coaching staff that includes Donald are expected to reach Dhaka by February 22.
If everything goes according to plan, Bangladesh will start their camp for the England series on February 23 under the guidance of newly appointed head coach Chandika Hathurusingha.
