Dhaka Twelve clinched the title of the inaugural edition of the Corporate Women Kabaddi League 2023 after beating Techno Media by 23-22 points in a thrilling final at the National Kabaddi Stadium in the capital on Tuesday.

Dhaka took a big 10-1 points lead at the start of the first half but Techno came alive soon and changed the margin to 14-12 before the end of the first half. 

The second half also produced exciting plays by both sides and the scoreline was locked at 22-22 before going into the final minute.

But Dhaka catcher Rupali Akhter touched Techno raider Soma which gave Dhaka the winning point as well the title.

Smriti Akter of Dhaka was adjudged the best player. Narsingdi Legends finished third in the six-team tournament.

After the match, Deputy Leader of the Parliament Matia Chowdhury distributed the prizes as the chief guest.

The Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation President and the IGP of Bangladesh Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun presided over the programme.

Additional IG of Police and BKF General Secretary Habibur Rahman and the newly-appointed Sports Secretary Mohiuddin Ahmed, Additional DIG and BKF Joint Secretary Gazi Mozammel Hoque were also present on the occasion.
