Victoria Sporting Club beat Purbachal Parishad by 39-30 goals in the opening match of the Cute First Division Handball League 2023, organised by Bangladesh Handball Federation and sponsored by Mousumi Industries Ltd at the Shaheed Capt (retd) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the capital on Sunday.
In the day’s other match, Old Ideals defeated Satirtha Club by 59-11 goals at the same venue.
BHF General Secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor and others were also present on the occasion.
A total of six teams are taking part in the league this year. The other two teams are -- Star Sports and Monsur Sporting Club.
