Foy’s Lake Concord introduces base camp

CHATTOGRAM: Foy’s Lake Concord introduced the Foy’s Lake Basecamp in cooperation with the Basecamp Adventures Limited at their park in the city on Sunday.

The initiative has been taken to help people come out of everyday monotony and discover themselves newly.

The visitors will be able to take part in different adventurous activities along with enjoying the national beauty of the park surrounded by lake, forest and zigzag hills, said the organisers at a press conference at the park on Sunday.

The attractions of the basecamp include kayaking, archery, climbing wall, wood cabin, tree-top activity, on-ground activity, team building game, human foosball, group camping, night trail, treasure hunt, zip line, water-zip-line and giant hammock, they said.

The mud trail and paint ball activities will be added to the facilities soon.

The intended visitors will be able to avail the facilities individually or in group. The authority is offering different corporate packages and day-long activities for upto 200 people.  

Concord Group Managing Director Shahriar Kamal, Executive Director (Marketing) Anup Sarkar, Basecamp Adventure Chairman Mahbub Jaman and Managing Director Tamjid Siddique Spondon attended the press conference.

Concord Managing Director Shahriar said Concord has proved its efficiency through successfully implementing different important projects in the country.

After introducing the country’s first theme park in the capital, the Foy’s Lake park was launched in 2004, he said.   

 Shahriar also hoped the basecamp that started journey will be of similar to those in Thailand and Singapore.

Basecamp Chairman Mahbub Jaman said the basecamp at Foy’s Lake will open new horizon for the new generation to enlighten the country further.

“We want to spread tourism across the country through bringing different changes in this sector,” he added.
